BOOSTING OUR FUNDING

College students can help

ADAPTING TO YOUR NEEDS

GET STARTED

If you are involved in the battle against COVID-19, its vital that you continue to push ahead with your research and development. That is why, for SMEs, we are boosting our funding: you now pay only 25% for the first full year of an innovation project done in collaboration with a post-secondary institution.

As well, we have streamlined our processes, so you and your industry partner’s project could be approved faster.

Applications are now closed.

But there are still opportunities for SMEs to benefit from a boost in funding on a broader range of projects.

Act quickly: submission deadline is July 1.

CONNECT WITH US

COVID 19-related research can require a lot of resources. So, for a limited time to address the pandemic, college students can be added to the development portion of COVID-19 Mitacs projects.

If you are embarking on a project – or have one under way – we’ve developed a new flexible model. For the first time, we are allowing participants to work from home.

If you have students and industry partners who are able to connect virtually – and can continue to carry out the methodologies as close to the plan as possible – then there’s no need to delay your plans.

If it’s not feasible to work remotely given the structure of the work, you can put your project on hold. Just be sure to alert your business development specialist.

Working on your projects remotely is now possible!
